our platform

Fortstock is a ground-breaking collateral management platform. Our platform is designed to greatly facilitate the warehouse financing process.

Warehouse financing allows businesses to borrow money secured by warehoused inventory. In practice, warehouses certify the quality, quantity and ownership of goods under their control. In doing so, they issue a warrant, a unique and legally signed or stamped receipt. This warehouse warrant, issued to lenders, represents the goods used as collateral for the loan.

Today, the warehouse financing process is very manual, and paper based. Due to a lack of digital tools, the loan approval process is often time consuming and complex, and the resulting loans are rarely controllable or auditable.

Consequently, the vast majority of the multi trillion-dollar value of current warehoused goods is not used as collateral, depriving businesses of valuable cash flow, and banks and warehouses of valuable revenue streams.

Fortstock fixes these pain points by leveraging the power of blockchain and smart contracts. Through our platform, we deliver automation, trust and speed to the three stakeholders in the warrant financing system: financial institutions, warehouses, and the owner of goods.

TRUST

Our smart contract / blockchain technology impedes double spending and fraud.

CONTROL

Fortstock only partners with warehouses that meet high standards of reliability.

SPEED

Warehouse receipts are Instantly delivered to owners, banks and warehouses. Issuance takes seconds instead of weeks.

Added value

BANKS

For banks offering warehouse financing: Fortstock greatly facilitates and enhances the loan process by improving trust and control, increasing auditability, and reducing resource consuming paper-backed certifications.

For Banks not offering warehouse financing: Fortstock generates a new revenue stream by allowing banks to offer new and safe financing solutions. This is especially important for bank customers confronted with increased warehousing needs and costs.

OWNERS OF GOODS

Businesses that own warehoused goods benefit from increased access to finance through loans offered by Fortstock Partners. The loan process becomes substantially quicker and easier by reducing administrative costs and processes. This is especially important for business facing a cash crunch or owning perishable goods (agricultural products for example).

WAREHOUSES

Warehousing and storage is in high demand. Although supply will also increase, so will competition. Warehouses will have to differentiate themselves not only by the quality and security of their storage, but also by the portfolio of services they offer. By becoming of FortStock Partner, Warehouses will offer customers facilitated access to financing. This service is an additional revenue stream for the warehouse.

FORTSTOCK WARRANT AUTHENTICITY AND VERIFICATION

The issuance and transfer of warrants is fixed on the public blockchain; Anyone with the PDF document of a FortStock Warrant in hand can check the authenticity and current status of the Warrant on the Fortstock Platform or directly on the public blockchain.

    7 Tracking and analysis tools

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on the user’s computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by users is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymisation has been activated on this website so that the IP address of Google users within Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area is shortened beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. We would therefore like to point out to you that data processing within the framework of Google Analytics may under certain circumstances also take place outside the scope of EU law.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website by users, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services to the website operator relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

Google Analytics is used by us only with your consent (opt in).

You can also prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

As an alternative you may refuse the use of Google Analytics by setting the performance cookie to inactive in the cookie settings.

    8 Social Media

Our website currently contains links to the following social media providers: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram via the relevant social media buttons. In order to avoid unwanted transfer of your usage data (e.g., address of the currently visited page) to these services, you will only be able to access them by clicking on the link (social media button “Shariff”). The aforementioned social networks may themselves collect usage and possibly user data. We have no control over the data collected and data processing activities, nor are we aware of how much data is collected, the purposes of processing or the storage periods. Nor do we have any information on the erasure of the data collected by the plugin provider.

Therefore, the information we provide is to the best of our knowledge at the present time:

Your browser may not establish a direct connection to the servers of the aforementioned services until you click on the links. This means that the information that you have visited our website is indirectly (referrer) forwarded to these services. If you are already logged in to the service with your personal user account during your visit to our website, you can usually click on the social media buttons to “share” the content or leave a comment, etc. If you do not wish any such data transfer, we advise against clicking on the social media buttons.

The purpose and scope of data collection by social media services, as well as the further processing and use of your data there and your rights and options for setting your privacy preferences can be found in the privacy policies for these services.

    9 Integration of YouTube

We have included YouTube videos in our online services, which are stored at https://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all included in “privacy-enhanced mode”, which means that no data about you as a user will be transferred to YouTube, unless you play the videos. Only when you play the videos,  the data mentioned in section 6 (except for the amount of data transferred) will be communicated. We have no influence on this data transmission.

By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned under section 6 are transmitted (except for the amount of data transmitted). This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account that you are logged in to, or whether no user account exists. When you’re logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want your profile to be associated with YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as a user profile and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the design of its website to meet your needs. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) in order to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact YouTube to exercise this right.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by YouTube can be found in the Privacy Policy. There you will also find further information about your rights and settings to protect your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

    10 Google Maps

This website uses the services of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to conveniently use the map function.

When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding sub-page of our website. The data listed in the section “Processing of data on the website/application and legal basis for processing” are transferred as well. This happens regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in with or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or customising the design of its website. Such analysis takes place in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide customised advertising and to inform other users of the social media network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, but to do so you must contact Google.

For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plugin provider, please refer to the respective provider’s privacy policy. There you will also find further information about your rights in this regard and options for setting your privacy preferences: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB&gl=de.
